Job news!

Great news, my husband has a full-time job in his field! He has been working at FedEx for ten years and has been the computer tech guy for a realty firm for about a year but both of those jobs are part- time and, since he graduated from college in March, he has been looking for a full-time position in the field of computer networking and security. Well, he gave his resume' to one of his old instructors who had gotten him a lead once before and then Keller Williams( the realty place) cut his hours from ten hours a week to two hours a month. Yeah, bad news. So, we weren't so happy about that but we prayed about it and like the next day Chris got a call from a place call the Indiana Jet Center. They do something with jets and planes, I'm not sure if they build them or repair them or what, but they were in need of a computer technician and they asked him to come for an interview. The really amazing part about this is that this offer had nothing to do with his instructor and Chris has no idea how this company got his resume'.

My funny mom

Haha, my mom is so funny. She always comes up with these crazy scenarios that obviously would never happen but are hilarious. Case-in-point, we went to visit my parents last weekend and I was looking for my wedding shoes( I keep all my wedding stuff at my parents house due to lack of space in our apartment) because I wanted to wear them with a certain dress. well, I looked all over and couldn't find them so I thought that I may have taken them home at some point and just didn't remember. So, once we got home, I looked all over but they were nowhere to be found and I had no idea where they could have gone. Well, of course I called my mom and told her that they had dissapeared and, here's the good part, she said," a transvestite probably snuck in and took them. Oh, I just found an empty box with a note that says ' I have the shoes-Transvestite'." I could not stop laughing. I was like," so, his name is actually'Transvestite'?" and she said," Well, he can't give his real name, it's embarrassing!" Oh, Mom! I love your crazy stories:) So, this is a heads-up to all you girls out there, beware The Transvestite, new archnemesis of all woman, who sneaks in and steals all your cute clothes!

alright, here it is

I mentioned before about some heavy thoughts that have been weighing on me and now I guess I'm just gonna spill it. My aunt and uncle, who have been married for 21 years, are getting a divorce. I know a lot of people get divorced, even some of my other relatives have, but this news just really blindesided me because I never thought that they would. The thing is, this actually made me realize that, even though I know better, I have this wierd notion that there is a deadline for divorce, like if you haven't gotten divorced by such-and-such a year, then you're safe. Now, in the end, this is just me being silly because this is so strange and unexpected. I am totally secure in my marriage, I think I'm just "trippin' " because I love my aunt and uncle and it is sad anytime a marriage ends, especially one that has lasted so long.

Haha, hey everyone! Man, I've been really bad about blogging lately but I've just felt really busy and I've had some things on my mind that have just been really overwhelming for me,lately. I'm sure I will write and let everyone in on all that, eventually, I just have to let the flurry of thoughts settle first. Plus, I have been going to bed much earlier( man, what a nerd) but I think I need to stop that or at least modefy it because I am a night owl and I need that late night time to do whatever so I don't start to feel like my job monopolizes all of my time. Alrighty, I'll get to the good or whatever stuff later. Hope everyone's having a great week!

In sickness and in health

I have had a terrible summer cold plus a fever since Friday....yuck! Well, this isn't the first time I've been sick since we got married but I think it feels worse because I am working now and cannot really rest like I would like. So, here I am, feelin' crappy and, truth be told, really starting to miss my mom when my honey swoops in and makes everything better. Here's what happened: we got into bed and I was feeling physically gross and emotionally vulnerable and alone and then I felt Chris snuggle up behind me and put his arm around me and suddenly I felt completely better( at least, emotionally). This was a really special act that really let me know that was there for me because he does not like to cuddle when we're going to sleep because he can't sleep unless he can move freely but, for me, physical touch is one of the primary ways that I communicate love so what he did really meant a lot to me. He is so wonderful and I love him soooo much! I am really enjoying learning things like that about each other this first year.

Camping!

I am so excited! Chris and I are leaving tomorrow afternoon to meet another couple that goes to church with us and the four of us are going to go camping together up at the Brown County State Park. I am really looking forward to it because it is sort of like a rite of passage. You see, Sunday is our church's third annual Brown county service and a lot of people, especially young married couples, will go up and camp the night before. Well, last year we did go to the service together because I was in town for his birthday but this time last year we were about two months awayfrom our wedding so, of course, we didn't camp, but now we can! We have a tent and Chris went out and got some other pieces of camping paraphanalia we might need so I think we're all set for a great time!

Such a great weekend!

Man, I had so much fun on the weekend! I was back in my hometown for this mother/daughter High Tea at this fancy little tea room. I went with my mom( of course) and my sister-in-law, sandra( my little brother's wife), it was lovely! After that my mom and I went to some garage sales ( I love garage saling with my mom). Then we met my friend( the one that just got engaged) and her mom at a bridal shop and I tried on some bride's maid dresses . To top off the evening , my brother and SIL, some of my best friends and I all went to the drive-in to see Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End. It was great to spend time with everyone!
