Happy New Year
Wow, this is pretty sad, it's September and I'm just now writing my first blog entry of 2009! A lot has happened...for everyone. First of all, congrats to my friends Platinum Rose and Anne McClane who are both expecting, yay! No baby for us yet but we're still faithful and so is God. One thing I am working on in that respect is to gain a little wieght because I'm about 8 pounds under. We have started to remodle our house now and made an exciting find...hardwood flooring is hiding under all the gross carpet in the house. We have one guest room done and are working on our room now so the house is a crazy mess but it's going to look great. My Grandma had a pacemaker put in and then had a stroke a few weeks ago so that has been really hard but she is in a good therapy program and is making progress though it is slower progress than she thinks she should be making. I think in her mind she is still a young woman and she feels likeshe should just bounce right back so we are just encouraging her to be patient with herself. Please pray. Our recent drama is that our cat, Mir, got out Friday morning and I had to leave for work without finding her. I called and told my husband she was missing on my way to work and then he called me on my lunch break and said he was at home and had looked everywhere for her with no luck. Wow, I was so worried I just cried in my car the rest of my break and prayed that God would bring her back safe and sound. When I got home at around 6:oo she was still lost and Chris started talking about making posters and I really lost it. She really is like our baby especially for me because I've had her for almost ten years since she had just been weened. So we drove around the neighborhood once more then I just started wandering the house thinking maybe she was just hiding really well in our huge mess and I looked out the window in our room that looks out on our backyard and I saw her little face peek out from around the shed in our neighbors backyard. I freaked out and ran into the livingroom shouting "she's in the backyard!" Chris went around and got her and he handed her over the fence to me and she's never been kissed so much in her life. She was home safe and sound just a little dirty and with some little scratches on one ear. My mom called later when she heard we found her and she said," did Mircat get a spankin'?" I laughed and said no because we were just so glad she was back but I did get the scruff of her neck later when I was kissing her somemore and said that this was so she knew I was her mom and to never do that again!
